iBGPlay is available in two functionally equivalent flavours, both free of charge:
  • as a software - FULL Package
  • as a service - LITE Package

We adopt an open cooperation policy, and we are available for tailored evaluation options in order to fit your needs. If you have further requirements, please feel free to contact us.

iBGPlay FULL - (software package providing iBGPlay Server, iBGPlay Client, and iBGPlay Collector)

  1. We provide to you the credentials to download a software package containing iBGPlay Server, iBGPlay Client, and iBGPlay Collector.
  2. You install the iBGPlay service on a dedicated Linux box. Installation procedure is automated and has been tested on the following Linux distributions (Ubuntu 7.10 server, Fedora 8, openSuSE 10.3, Gentoo 2.6.20-r8). We are glad to provide to you e-mail support.
  3. You set up one (or more) standard iBGP peering(s) with your iBGPlay Collector.
  4. Once the service is running, you can inspect your data by the iBGPlay client provided in the software pakcage. The client can be installed on any machine of your organization.

iBGPlay LITE - (collection service + web access)

  1. You set up one (or more) standard iBGP peering(s) with our iBGPlay Route Collector.
  2. We configure our Route Collector in order to collect BGP data from your routers. This operation takes no more than three working days. Your routing data will be kept strictly confidential and will be accessible only to you.
  3. We provide to you the credentials for logging in at www.ibgplay.org and access your routing data. In your private area you will be able to launch iBGPlay Client as applet. See Section Guided Tour for a short tutorial.

iBGPlay - Software License Agreement

The iBGPlay software (client and server) is owned by Dipartimento di Informatica e Automazione - Universita' degli Studi Roma Tre (in the following DIA). The user of iBGPlay can use the software only for inspection of its own BGP routing data. Decompilation of the iBGPlay software (client and server) in whole or in part is explictely prohibited. Distribution of the iBGPlay software to any third party, even at no charge, is explictely prohibited. DIA is not liable for the data shown by iBGPlay and for outages of the iBGPlay service. DIA can interrupt the iBGPlay service at any moment.
